What is crimping

Crimping is a method in cooking for sealing the edges of pastry products with filling, such as pies, dumplings, and others.

Necessary tools

Typically, closed pastry products are crimped with fingers. For open pies, a fork or spoon is often used, sometimes several spoons of different diameters to create an unusual shape.
